It doesn't look like it at first, but give it a little stretch and it's all good.The brace itself is certainly less supportive than one with laces, but it does a good job. I'm currently in no condition to run, so I couldn't tell you if I could run in it comfortably. The seams on the straps are a little uncomfortable and dig in a little bit on the top of my foot and by the heel. This might wear itself down after wearing it for a while - I'm not sure yet. The Yasco ankle support does just that. I am able to wear it over my socks and still wear my sport shoes and of course it is ideal for sandals (just make sure to wear a sandal with an arch and heel support). I find it is also good for plantar foot pain if you wear it to bed as it keeps the foot slightly upright without having to wear an awkward and uncomfortable foot brace. I cut the toe out of a thin sock for sandals and at bedtime and this keeps my foot cool and my toes able to be seen in the sandal. I really like the velcro straps as they are so easy to use and are adjustable for a tight fit for more support if needed. This is a great ankle support for mild to moderate ankle injuries and the price is right. I just wish it came in white for summer... Read more |
